 Children of theLight walk in His light.

光明之子行在主耶稣的光中。

Live as children oflight.  ---Ephesians 5:8

行事为人就当像光明的子女。-以弗所书5章8节

Iknow better, but I still keep trying. The instructions on the label are clear:“Needs full sun.” Our yard has mostly shade. It is not suitable for plants thatneed full sun. But I like the plant. I like its color, the shape of the leaves,the size, the scent. So I buy it, bring it home, plant it, and take really goodcare of it. But the plant is not happy at my house. My care and attention arenot enough. It needs sunlight, which I cannot provide. I thought I could makeup for lack of light by giving the plant some other kind of attention. But itdoesn’t work that way. Plants need what they need.

我虽然知道，但仍旧不断地尝试。盆栽上清楚地标示着：「需要充足阳光。」所以在我家那缺乏阳光的庭院里，并不适合栽种。但我却喜欢这植物的颜色、叶子的形状、大小与香味，所以我毅然买回家种植。可是，即使我费尽心思地照料，这盆栽还是长得不好。原来单靠我细心照顾是不够的，它仍需要阳光，而那是我无法提供的。我以为只要对植物花多一点心思，就能弥补阳光不足的问题，但事实并非如此，这植物就是需要充足的阳光。

Andso do people. Although we can survive for a while in less-than-idealconditions, we can’t thrive. In addition to our basic physical needs, we alsohave spiritual needs that can’t be met by any substitute.

人们的成长也是如此。虽然我们在不甚理想的状况中，仍能暂时勉强生存，却无法健康成长。我们除了基本的生理需求之外，也有属灵的需求，是没有任何其他代替品可以满足的。

Scripturesays that believers are children of light. This means that we need to live inthe full light of God’s presence to thrive (Ps. 89:15). If we try to live indarkness, we will produce nothing but “fruitless deeds” (see Eph. 5:3-4, 11).But if we are living in the light of Jesus, the Light of the world, we willproduce the fruit of His light, which is good, faithful, and true.

圣经说基督徒是光明之子，意思是我们需时刻活在上帝同在的荣光之中，才能茁壮成长（诗篇89篇15节）。若我们活在黑暗里，就只会做「暗昧无益的事」（以弗所书5章3-4、11节）。耶稣是世界的光，若我们活在祂的光中，就能因祂的荣光照耀而结出良善、忠心又真实的果实。

Prayer 祷告：

Dear Lord, thank You for redeemingme and giving me new life. Help me to live as a child of the Light.

亲爱的主，谢谢祢救赎我、赐我新生命。帮助我能活出光明之子的生命样式。
