In1940, Dr. Virginia Connally, age 27, braved opposition and criticism to become the first female physician in Abilene, Texas. A few months before her 100th birthday in 2012, the Texas Medical Association presented her with its Distinguished Service Award, Texas’ highest physician honor. Between those two landmarkevents, Dr. Connally has enthusiastically embraced a passion for spreading the gospel around the world through her many medical mission trips while  living a life of service to God and to others—one day at a time.

在1940年，当时芳龄27岁的维吉妮雅·康纳利（VirginiaConnally），力排众议，成为德州阿比林市第一位女医生。2012年，在她百岁诞辰的几个月前，德州医学协会颁给她特殊贡献奖，这是德州医生的最高殊荣。自从成为医生后，康纳利便积极参与医疗宣教队，到世界各地传扬上帝的福音，她过着服事众人、服事上帝的生活，珍惜生命中的每一天。

Dr. Connally’s pastor, Phil Christopher, said, “Every day for her is a gift.” Here called a letter in  which she wrote, “Every tour, trip, effort, I wonder if this will be my last and ultimate? Only God knows. And this is enough.” celebrate it! ?

康纳利医生的教会牧师菲尔·克里斯多夫表示：「对她来说，每一天都是一份恩典。」他提及康纳利医生曾在信中写道：「每一次的宣教旅程，每一次的努力付出，我都不知道是不是我生命中最后一次的机会？但我想只要上帝知道就够了。」

The psalmist wrote, “This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it” (Ps. 118:24 nkjv). So often we focus on the disappointments of yesterday or  the uncertainties of tomorrow and miss God’s matchless gift to us: Today!

诗人写道：「这是耶和华所定的日子，我们要在这一日欢喜快乐」（诗篇118篇24节）。我们常把注意力放在遗憾的昨日、不确定的明日，反倒忽略了上帝给我们最美好的礼物：今日！

Dr.Connally said of her journey with Christ, “As you live a life of faith, you’re not looking for the results. I was just doing the things that God planted in my life and heart.”

康纳利医生谈到自己的信仰历程时说：「当你凭信心生活时，就不会追求结果。我只是在做上帝放在我心里、生命里的事而已。」

God made today. Let’s celebrate it and make the most of every opportunity to serve others in His name.

今天是上帝所定的日子，让我们在其中欢喜快乐，并且尽全力奉祂的名服事人。

Prayer 祷告：

Lord, thank You for today. May I embrace it as Your gift, celebrate Your faithfulness, and live this day fully for You.

主啊，感谢祢赐下今天，愿我能好好珍惜这份礼物，颂赞祢的信实，全然为祢而活。
