天父不要我们忘记自己是谁。

My understanding returned to me; and I blessed the Most High. Daniel 4:34  NKJV

Emergency Services in Carlsbad, California, came to the rescue of a woman with an Australian accent who couldn’t recall who she was. Because she was suffering from amnesia and had no ID with her, she was unable to provide her name or where she had come from. It took the help of doctors and international media to restore her health, tell her story, and reunite her with her family.

加州医院的紧急救援部门，曾救助一名带有澳洲口音的妇女，但她本人却想不起自己是谁。人们无从得知她的姓名，也不知她是从哪儿来的，因她患了失忆症，身上又没有任何身份证明文件。后来，透过医师帮助她恢复健康、国际媒体报导她的故事，才使她得与家人团聚。

Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, also lost sight of who he was and where he had come from. His “amnesia,” though, was spiritual. In taking credit for the kingdom he’d been given, he forgot that God is the King of Kings, and everything he had was from Him (Daniel 4:17, 28–30).

同样地，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒也忘了自己是谁、是从哪儿来的。然而，他是患上灵性方面的“失忆症”。他将上帝所赐的王国威严和荣耀归给自己，忘了上帝才是那位万王之王，他一切所有的皆从上帝而来（但以理书4章17节、28-30节）。

God dramatized the king’s state of mind by driving him into the fields to live with wild animals and graze like a cow (vv. 32–33). Finally, after seven years Nebuchadnezzar looked up to the skies, and his memory of who he was and who had given him his kingdom returned. With his senses restored, he declared, “I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven” (v. 37).

于是上帝把国王的“失忆症”搬上他人生的舞台，使他忘记一切，被逐出王宫，到荒郊与野兽为伍，像牛一样地吃草（32-33节）。七年后，尼布甲尼撒举目望天终于恢复记忆、想起自己是谁，以及是谁将王国赐给他的。他恢复神智后，宣告说：“我尼布甲尼撒赞美、尊崇、恭敬天上的王。”（37节）

What about us? Who do we think we are? Where did we come from? Since we are inclined to forget, who can we count on to help us remember but the King of Kings?

那我们的记忆如何呢？我们认为自己是谁？我们又是从哪儿来的？你我都如此善忘，我们唯有仰望那位万王之王，来帮助我们记得自己的身份。

亲爱的天父，我们时常忘记自己是谁、从哪里来，
也忘记自己属于祢。求祢帮助我们记得，
在基督里我们都是祢的儿女，被祢认识、蒙祢所爱、
得祢赏赐、受祢看顾，从今直到永远。

4 All this happened to King Nebuchadnezzar. 29 Twelve months later, as the king was walking on the roof of the royal palace of Babylon, 30 he said, “Is not this the great Babylon I have built as the royal residence, by my mighty power and for the glory of my majesty?” 31 Even as the words were on his lips, a voice came from heaven, “This is what is decreed for you, King Nebuchadnezzar: Your royal authority has been taken from you. 32 You will be driven away from people and will live with the wild animals; you will eat grass like the ox. Seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes.” 33 Immediately what had been said about Nebuchadnezzar was fulfilled. He was driven away from people and ate grass like the ox. His body was drenched with the dew of heaven until his hair grew like the feathers of an eagle and his nails like the claws of a bird. 34 At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity was restored. Then I praised the Most High; I honored and glorified him who lives forever. His dominion is an eternal dominion; his kingdom endures from generation to generation. 35 All the peoples of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as he pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth. No one can hold back his hand or say to him: “What have you done?” 36 At the same time that my sanity was restored, my honor and splendor were returned to me for the glory of my kingdom. My advisers and nobles sought me out, and I was restored to my throne and became even greater than before. 37 Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because everything he does is right and all his ways are just. And those who walk in pride he is able to humble.

4 这事都临到尼布甲尼撒王。 29 过了十二个月，他游行在巴比伦王宫里， 30 他说：“这大巴比伦不是我用大能大力建为京都，要显我威严的荣耀吗？” 31 这话在王口中尚未说完，有声音从天降下，说：“尼布甲尼撒王啊，有话对你说：你的国位离开你了！ 32 你必被赶出离开世人，与野地的兽同居，吃草如牛，且要经过七期，等你知道至高者在人的国中掌权，要将国赐予谁就赐予谁。” 33 当时这话就应验在尼布甲尼撒的身上，他被赶出离开世人，吃草如牛，身被天露滴湿，头发长长好像鹰毛，指甲长长如同鸟爪。34 日子满足，我尼布甲尼撒举目望天，我的聪明复归于我，我便称颂至高者，赞美、尊敬活到永远的神。他的权柄是永有的，他的国存到万代。 35 世上所有的居民都算为虚无，在天上的万军和世上的居民中，他都凭自己的意旨行事。无人能拦住他手，或问他说：“你做什么呢？” 36 那时，我的聪明复归于我，为我国的荣耀，威严和光耀也都复归于我，并且我的谋士和大臣也来朝见我。我又得坚立在国位上，至大的权柄加增于我。 37 现在我尼布甲尼撒赞美、尊崇、恭敬天上的王，因为他所做的全都诚实，他所行的也都公平，那行动骄傲的，他能降为卑。
